Naia™ cellulose fiber addresses one of the biggest challenges in the textile industry: the development of a large-scale circular economy and the transition to closed-loop production. It is made from 60% wood from sustainable sources (responsibly sourced from certified pine and eucalyptus forests) and 40% certified recycled waste materials. This allows Naia™ to add value to hard-to-recycle waste that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Naia™ fiber is fully traceable - from tree to finished fiber. Environmentally friendly Naia™ fiber is produced in the USA in accordance with the highest standards of safety, social responsibility, and environmental protection. The manufacturing process takes place in a safe, closed-loop system where solvents are recovered and reused. Naia™ has an optimized, low-carbon production process, characterized by a small carbon and water footprint during the conversion of wood to fiber, and its compliance has been confirmed by an independent assessment in accordance with ISO 1444. The material is certified as biodegradable and compostable.
